What happens when three artists venture into New Mexico’s natural landscape? This exhibition at the GCAG Art Studio explores how nature inspires transformation—from fallen timber to living sculpture, from native plants to vibrant dyes, from landscape to canvas.

Donna Foley, regionally recognized weaver and author of “Local Color: Dye Plants of the Gila Region,” transforms the forest’s botanical treasures into rich textile narratives. Mark Cantrell carves new life into discarded wood, revealing the creatures that are within. Paula Manning-Lewis, President of the Silver City Art Association and lifetime New Mexico resident, captures the spirit of our high desert landscapes in paint.
