Mimbres-Inspired Weaving Workshops at the BlueDome Studio
Discover the art of weaving this June with three hands-on workshops drawing inspiration from the iconic geometric patterns of Mimbres pottery. No experience needed — beginners are warmly welcome! Looms come pre-warped and ready to go, so you can dive straight into the craft. All classes are held at the BlueDome Studio, 307 N Texas Street in downtown Silver City.
Class 1 | Geometrics on a Rigid-Heddle Loom Tuesday, June 16 · 10 am–1 pm Explore color-and-weave techniques to create a charming set of mug rugs. A perfect introduction to pattern weaving! Limited to 4 students · $85 (materials included)
Class 2 | Mimbres-Inspired Table Runner on a 4-Harness Table Loom Wednesday, June 17 · 10 am–1 pm Weave chevrons, diamonds, herringbones, and more to craft your own Mimbres-inspired table runner on a 4-harness table loom. Limited to 3 students · $110 + $10 materials fee
Class 3 | Geometric Centerpiece Mat Friday, June 19 · 10 am–1 pm Combine color-and-weave techniques with a twill structure to create a beautiful, thick centerpiece mat in a variety of geometric patterns. Limited to 3 students · $110 + $10 materials fee
